Tiesto

Tiesto has been voted the world’s best DJ in 2002, 2003 and 2004. He has been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards, winning one in 2015.

His own radio show, ‘Tiesto’s Club Life,’ is aired every Friday and has over 400 episodes.

Since 2001, Tiesto has released six full length studio albums. All of his albums have been released by his own record labels - Magik and Musical Freedom.

Favorite DAWS include Logic, Cubase, Ableton and FL Studio.

Besides frequent appearances at world-wide festivals, Tiesto is the only DJ ever who has performed at the Summer Olympic Games (Greece 2004).

dj hardwell

Hardwell

Hardwell is the newest rising star out of the three, winning the DJMAG award in 2013 and 2014. As of 2015, Hardwell has no Grammy nominations, but his only album was a hit across the globe.

Since 2011, Hardwell has hosted his own radio show and podcast called ‘Hardwell on Air.’

Hardwell is the founder of Revealed Recordings, the home for other EDM talents including Dannic, W&W, Headhunters, Tommy Trash and others.

His favorite DAWS include Logic and Ableton.

Hardwell is known worldwide for his energizing mainroom house and electro acts. His Tommorowland performances have over 70 million hits on YouTube.

Things to keep in mind

DJs have to be passionate. Being a DJ is a full time job, but before you become famous it is a hobby.

Practice is key. Top class DJs nowadays produce, make cue points and organize tracks on planes, car rides and tour buses.

Be patient. Armin van Buuren and Tiesto started around the mid 90s. It took 10 years to get international recognition and 20 years to get to where they are now.
